Very interesting. A helper of mankind, guide, mentor, and friend is your brand in my book 📖. Thanks

Hmm... That's a tough one. Is hating literary culture a "brand"? haha. I just want my own little writing world that embraces grounded, accessible, autodidactic writing. Other than that, I'm not sure I have a brand. Might give it some more thought, though....

You have a brand! It's displayed clearly in the name of your Substack. I also know that if I asked you for your opinion, you'd give it to me straight. It's the sign of a great leader and mentor. You're a Yoda-level guide, Jacquie!

Thanks, Winston! That's good of you to say. And yes, you can always rely on me to give it to you straight, for better or worse ;-) I suppose "problematic" describes my writing perfectly, haha. Hadn't really thought of it as a brand, but it makes sense. You are my Yoda-level guide :-)

I'm so thankful to have met so many wonderful writers in the last few years. You and Daniel have been a huge influence, plus everyone on and off Substack. The power of committing to something and being willing to get out of the comfort zone has been instrumental. It's also fun to document the journey. It'll be exciting to look back on for sure.

I really want Substack to add in-line comments. It would make reading stories on Substack so much more interactive. Daniel also mentioned the need for Substack to implement a way to export a post into a text file for saving and transferring. I've found a new software that I'm working within called Obsidian. I'll be writing an intro to it this month because it's just so dang exciting. Anyway, hope you're well. I'm reading chapter 31, I think. I haven't had much time to relax lately.

I'm thankful to have met you guys, too :-)

I can see the benefits of inline comments, but I'm trying to wrap my head around how they might work. I've never really seen them in action before... And it would be handy to export individual posts. I think we can export the entire archive, but not single posts. That seems silly. Look forward to learning about Obsidian--that's a new one for me as well!

I hear you about the not relaxing thing. I might institute a "no Substack Sunday" policy or something, so I unplug and read a book or write. You've been working hard here and I hope you find some time for yourself to relax and do something you enjoy :-)
