Hey Cody, I was curious if you could share, or have shared any knowledge about how you market your indie books? It looks like you have author one-sheets, but I'm wondering if sending out press packet/emails is even a thing anymore and what yhe process entails.
Thanks for the question. I stopped making the press packets after a few authors because I noticed they weren't getting used. Most of my marketing is done via paid advertising (Facebook/AMS) and social media. I've spent a lot of time growing my audience on Twitter, but I'm also on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and recently TikTok.
Thanks for answering! That was very helpful. I'm comfortable with all aspects of the process, but finding information on marketing that goes beyond paying for social media ads or Amazon ads is very hard to find. I'm also finding the best approach is to have a wide network of people willing to spread the word helps greatly.
