I've been a big fan (for years!) of Reedsy's weekly writing prompts/contest, and their e-mail based classes, but I was unaware of a few features you discussed. So thanks! Looking forward to future Reedsy installments!
So great to hear, Carolyn! I'm excited to dive more into the features they offer in the coming weeks. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the platform. They seem to have a great reputation so far.
Good share! I used Reedsy's marketplace to connect with a designer for my first covers as well as a more recent partnership with an illustrator. Did I spend too much...? Possibly! But being a designer myself, I was picky about finding the "right" person for each collaboration and would not have found these ladies without Reedsy, nor would I have felt as comfortable entering into contracts with out-of-country talent (US > UK).
That's the best part, in my opinion. Being able to set everything up with your ideal collaborator and having Reedsy handle everything on the backend. So nice!
Thank you for this. I've come across Reedsy before but never took the time to really dive in. Now that my newsletter is sort of taking off I've revisited the idea of turning it into a book somehow. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
I‘m also going to look for a cover designer and a marketing consultant, but what I liked most on Reedsy is their webinars, sometimes live feedback on first sentences (which participants submit beforehand). The webinars are recorded, they have their own YouTube channel.
This is great! I've poked around on Reedsy but never explored all its features. I didn't realize there was so much there. All of this will be very helpful when I'm getting ready to publish my book!
I use them a lot. I got my cover artist that way, and he is a real find.
The rare disappointment was : they have a Discover program where your book is made available for reviewers. I picked out a likely reviewer, but he said No. No one else ever picked up the book, despite my extending the period, so I got a refund on my $50.
Hey Albert, that is good to know about the Discover program. I was curious about that $50 fee, but it's good that they provided a refund. Thanks for sharing!
Great to hear, Kai! If you have any questions during your journey, please reach out and I'd be happy to help. My email is storyletter@protonmail.com. Wishing you the best!

Reedsy is great! I found the most amazing editor and friend from Reedsy’s marketplace.
Oh, that's awesome. I'll be looking for editors soon. Any recommendations?!
Depends on the genre! My style is very comedic and goofy.

Great! Best of luck with the newsletter and hopefully you'll find these articles useful.

That’s so cool!
Once again, you bring some great information for indie writers. Thanks!
Thanks, Victor! Hopefully it can help in future projects.

It's mind-blowing how much they offer really. I'm so grateful for the resources they provide. I'm glad you found it helpful, Jacquie!

Well, maybe your book(s) are more appealing to their crew of reviewers. Good luck!
