I think it’s great that you’re taking time to refine your vision and adapt to your needs. It sounds like you’ve got a good plan! I know I’ve been rethinking my own approach to Substack this year and trying to create a little more breathing space for writing (and reading). Flexibility is an asset in an environment like this, and so is time for creativity :-) Best of luck!
I couldn’t agree more, Jacquie! I really want to keep up the momentum, but I just have to make sure it’s manifesting the results that matter most. I believe finalizing some books will allow me to build something I can be proud of, while staying true to the initial vision. Thank you for your support. It means a lot. Good luck to you as well. :)
I love the direction you're headed! There's a partnership in here somewhere and we'll figure it out eventually... I can taste it, like Coffee Brand Coffee... that smooth, bold taste, delicious and invigorating.
Sometimes we need to readjust and it sounds like you're on the right path Winston. I find myself rethinking my approach, too. All the best and glad to be part of the community!
Thanks for the update. Once we find ourselves getting spread too thin then everything suffers, so I think it's healthy to reflect on things and make adjustments (especially when that frees up creative time to write). Thanks for being so open about sharing your experiences with your own Substack - it helps me think through mine and where I'm going with it because I also keen on protecting my writing time.
Hey Dan, thank you for the comment. I'm glad that by sharing my experiences, it helps you in some way. We have to enjoy what we're doing otherwise why do it?!
Making more time to actually breathe is a smart decision. I’m riding this train with you wherever it goes and how long it takes doesn’t matter to me because I really enjoy your site. I’ve found that sometimes you have to be quiet to be heard.

Thanks for the promo, Winston! I can definitely understand your wanting to cut back on writing commitments. Sounds like a good plan.
Thanks, Leigh. I appreciate your support. I hope it’s the right move. Time will tell. :)

There’s definitely a partnership in there! Can’t wait to see what comes of it. :)
I’m excited for you, Winston! Love the anthology idea. Do what you gotta do, we’ll be here! 👍💃🏻💖
Thank you, Alexa! Love the support.
It's important to reassess, reexamine and adjust. The only constant is change!
Thanks, Alexander. You’re so right! And change can be good :)
