Thank you for the opportunity. I'd like to win Atticus because I have absolutely *no idea* about formatting, so anything that can help is great. And the more help itngives, the better 👍
Excellent, Jon! It definitely enables you to take the guesswork out of formatting, giving you more time to focus on quality writing. I've entered you into the giveaway! Good luck and happy holidays!
Winston, I could certainty use this as I've been trying to correctly format an ebook version of my upcoming book. Gave up on Kindle Create because of its "an error occurred" messages that offer no clue.
However, I'm unable to reconcile "you must be at least a free subscriber" with in "Steps to Enter", the first step is "upgrade to paid."
Anyway, if I'm entered, great. If not, that's okay. All the best.
Hey Victor, that's great that you're looking into formatting your eBook. I think Atticus would be a perfect fit for you. That message just means you're already a free subscriber! No need to upgrade to paid. I've entered you into giveaway. Wish you the best of luck!
Even if you don't win the software, let's chat about how to get your book formatted regardless at some point.
Hi there - Happy Birthday! Would love to win a copy of Atticus as it's looking more and more like I'll be self-publishing at least one book in 2024, if not two. I've never used it but definitely need an upgrade from Google Docs. :)
Thank you, Mr. Troy Ford! Sounds like 2024 is going to be an exciting year for you. And from personal experience, Atticus is super convenient, although it's not as customizable when it comes to anthologies of works that differ in spacing requirements (like poetry), sigh. But for novels and short story collections, it's definitely perfect. Good luck on those projects. I've entered you into the giveaway!
This is a very cool gift, Winston. I won't be entering the running because I'm hoping to adapt my editorial designer skills to designing my own book, but I know the formatting software will go to someone who will make good use of it, and that's awesome. Good luck, everyone!
Thank you, Jacquie! That's very kind of you. With our great community here on Substack, I'm also confident Atticus will find a great home. Good luck on your formatting journey!
Hello! I would love to win Atticus. I’m going to self publish the novel I’m releasing on Substack and I know it would be a necessary tool to have! Thank you and I’m enjoying your Substack.
Hey Alison, thanks for the comment. It's great to hear that you're releasing your novel on Substack and then going to self-publish. That's what I'm currently doing, and it's so fun and motivating. I wish you the best of luck. I've entered you into the giveaway!
Hi! Atticus sounds like a much better way to format a book than Microsoft Word (which is what I’ve previously been using to format my books...no coincidence that my hair is thinner now than before I started publishing 😅) Would love to win a copy!
Hey H. A. Titus, I've heard Microsoft Word can be a pain, but still doable. I never learned how to do it that way myself, so at least you have that skill going for you! I've entered you into the giveaway. Thanks for checking out the Storyletter and for participating!
Please don't let me win the Atticus. Why? Because my Mac is giving up the ghost (that's the Ghost of Christmas), I cannot download anything. No, I'm not joking. Have a great holiday.
OMG. I'm sorry to hear that, Colin. Atticus still works on the web, if that is a useful alternative to downloading the app. Just letting you know in case you still want to be entered into the giveaway. Happy holidays!

Thanks Winston. I've been looking into software that's out there, but didn't know about Atticus. From reading their web site, it sounds pretty good.
Cheers, Winston, you never know your luck.
You never know, Santa may bring me a new Mac, haha.
I've entered you into the giveaway! Hopefully Santa comes through :)
Ha! I just bought Atticus and now know where I’m going if I can’t figure it out....🤠
