Dead Stars & Stone Arches Kickstarter Final Stretch
5 days left to back an anthology of cosmic horror stories and poems set in Utah.
Horror fans, this is for you!
A good friend—Cody Langille—has been running a Kickstarter campaign this month for a horror anthology that they’ve put together for Timber Ghost Press. It’s called Dead Stars & Stone Arches: A collection of Utah Horror, and it looks incredible!
The project has reached its funding goal of $1500, but funding is never promised as backers can drop out at any time and prevent the project from coming to fruition. I really want to see this project come to life!
Let’s get this project over $2000!
What do you say? I know it’s a big ask, but I wouldn’t be backing and promoting it if I didn’t believe in it. They have some amazing tiers set up for all levels of support. Also, if you donate to the project and comment below that you did so, I’ll gift you a month of XPress which comes with a whole slew of bonuses (like access to The Storyletter private Discord for life, an additional monthly newsletter, SRA podcast episodes, and the XPress submission process.)
Below is some info pulled from the Kickstarter campaign page:
What is Dead Stars & Stone Arches?
This anthology is full of original poetry, short stories, and long fiction crafted by talented horror authors from around the world. Each piece has a connection to Utah, whether it's in the events of the story itself or on the part of the author.
These stories span the full range of cosmic horror, touching on tried and true flavors of the genre while also blazing new paths into the stars. Fans of cosmic horror pioneers like Lovecraft and Derleth, as well as fans of the new voices of the genre such as Lucy A. Snyder, Laird Barron, Betty Rocksteady, Thomas Ligotti, Hailey Piper, and Mary SanGiovanni, will find themselves at home with this anthology.
Dead Stars and Stone Arches is the 8th installment in the Collection of Utah Horror series. Our previous anthologies were a hit in the community and helped promote horror. We've come a long way; when we ran our first open call, we barely received enough submissions to even put the book together. Since then, our anthologies have become a known staple and many authors look forward to submitting their work each year. This time around we received so many quality submissions that the judging process (a blind read by three judges) was as competitive as ever.
