Drift into the void,

A chasm of nothingness,

An indifferent maw,

Of infinite awe.

Lost light,

Don’t fight,

Rest in deprivation.

Without, yet, somehow more,

Vulnerable despite a hardened core.

Tethered to seas of darkness,

Where stars burn,

And worlds turn.

Sight unseeing,

Feeling unbeing,

Inward expansion,

Birthed in isolation.

Who am I?

A heart? A mind?

I only know, because I am.

I only grow, because I can.

I float in an ocean of chaos,

A mote amidst the storm.

Thoughts rage in my cage,

Time immemorial,

An ancient new age.

A moment only lasts if you notice it.

Will I connect again?

Reality bends,

Space races,

Yearning gravitation.

Dust of my dust,

I need you for me to be.

The sensations of life,

A necessity.

This is very deep and I’m enthralled. You my friend are a talented writer and make me think 🤔 every time I read one of your poems or stories.
